The sizes mentioned above are the dimensions of the paper containing the images, not the printed image itself. The proportions and ratio of the original photograph is never altered or cropped. All our prints have a minimum border of .5 inches on all sides to facilitate framing.
For the dimensions of our final mounted or framed prints, please check out the finishing section.
Carte Blanche prints are fine art digital c-prints (unless specified otherwise), a technique used for nearly 100 years by the most prestigious galleries and museums.
We use the world's best photographic printer - the Polielettronica LaserLab - from digital files using traditional darkroom technology. The prints are produced by exposing high quality photographic paper - top-of-the-line Fujicolor Crystal Archive (matte or glossy) - with Red, Green, and Blue laser light and then processing the paper with chemistry. The richness, sharpness, contrast and depth of this genuinely photographic process make it one of the best printing method in the world.
Our prints are guaranteed for up to 100 years. They are produced by a local San Francisco professional laboratory working for the most important exhibitions and artists in the Bay Area.
Quality is essential to us. We work with the best specialists in the Bay Area: Dickerman prints and Lightwaves.
We take the greatest care at providing you with the best quality prints and finishing options as possible.
